In an announcement by Subsea UK this week, EC-OG were outlined as a finalist for the ‘Best Small Company’ award at the ceremony. The Subsea UK Awards, hosted alongside the Subsea Expo Exhibition, will take place in February 2017 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC). It will be an event which focuses on showcasing the wealth of talent within the subsea industry, recognising companies as well as individuals.
The ‘Best Small Company’ award identifies excellence in a company’s operation and performance in the Subsea sector. The award is also focused on recognising the company’s future growth goals, development and impact. According to the parameters, small companies were defined as having less than 50 employees and a turnover of less than £6.5 million.
Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, said: “Despite the continued downturn, these finalists have demonstrated that the UK subsea sector has what it takes to rise to the challenge – identifying ways to improve productivity and deliver much needed efficiencies.”
